- We Do not recommend washing in an automatic dishwasher as the hot water temperatures and harsh detergents may ultimately warp and scratch these parts. Also do not use abrasives, abrasive cleaners or alkaline cleaning agents when cleaning as these may scratch or damage the unit. Wipe out the interior of the steamer base with a warm, damp cloth or a small brush.
