Chocolate Espresso Mousse Cappuccino

A decadent delight

  • 160g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 x 30ml shot espresso or strong black coffee, cooled
  • 300ml thickened cream whipped cream to serve


  1. Melt chocolate in a bowl over a saucepan of simmering water; cool.
  2. Place cooled coffee and thickened cream in a small mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer, or beaters, until soft peaks form. Reduce speed, and gradually beat in chocolate until just combined.
  3. Spoon mixture into stainless cups and chill for 3 hours or overnight. To chill quickly, place stainless cups into fridge while preparing mousse.
  4. To serve, spoon whipped cream over mousse and dust with chocolate.
