For this recipe you'll need a Sunbeam SteamFry Air Fryer + Steam.
Ingredients:
Wrappers
- 300g strong white plain flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 200ml boiling water
Dumplings
- 500g minced pork
- 1 Pak Choi, finely shredded
- 2cm piece of ginger, peeled and finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 bunch spring onions, green part only finely sliced
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp sugar
Dipping sauce
- 2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 large clove of garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 red bird eye chilli, finely chopped
Let's make it:
Step 1:
To make the wrappers, place the flour and salt into a mixing bowl and add the boiling water. Mix with a knife to bring the mixture to a ball, loosely cover with a damp tea towel and set aside for approx 30 mins.
Step 2:
Remove the dough from the bowl and cut into 3 even pieces.
Step 3:
Roll out the dough on a floured surface until almost paper thin.
Step 4:
Using a 4” round cutter, press out circles from the rolled out dough and set aside, dusting with a little flour to prevent sticking. Use up all of the dough.
Step 5:
To make the filling, combine all of the ingredients together, mixing well.
Step 6:
Spoon about 1 tsp of the mixture into the centre of the wrapper, wet the edges with a little water then fold the wrapper over the filling and pinch the edges together to close. Repeat with the remaining dumplings.
Step 7:
Place a single layer of the dumplings onto the airfryer tray in the drawer.
Step 8:
Ensure the water tank is full, then select Steam and cook for 6 minutes. Repeat with the remaining dumplings.
Step 9:
For the dipping sauce, combine all the ingredients together, serve drizzled over the warm dumplings.
Cook's Tip:
Both the unused wrappers and pork filling can be frozen. Uncooked dumplings can also be frozen, defrost these before steaming.
