You will need:

  • 500g dark chocolate buttons
  • 395g tin of condensed milk

Let's make it:

Step 1:

Break up the Christmas pudding or fruit cake in the bowl of a food processor and blitz until it forms coarse crumbs.

Step 2:

Place the dark chocolate and butter in the Sunbeam Mixmaster® HeatSoft™ Planetary Mixer bowl, attach the scraper beater and fit the Heatsplash™ guard onto the bowl. Turn on HeatSoft™ and select MELT. Mixing on low speed then gradually increasing until the ingredients melt together and the mixture becomes smooth. Turn HeatSoft™ off.

Step 3:

Add the Christmas pudding or fruitcake crumbs to the melted chocolate and brandy (if using) and mix to combine.

Step 4:

Line a tray with baking paper. Roll large tablespoonfuls of the mixture into balls, and place on the lined tray. Transfer into the fridge to chill for 45 minutes.

Step 5:

Meanwhile, wipe clean the mixing bowl and add the white chocolate. Fit the Heatsplash™ guard onto the bowl. Turn on HeatSoft™ and select MELT. Mixing on low speed then gradually increasing until the chocolate is completely melted. Turn off HeatSoft™. Use a teaspoon or piping bag to drizzle the melted white chocolate over the truffles, and decorate with slices of cherries.
