You will need:

  • 2 Tbsp (for the bread) + 1 tsp butter (for the noodles)
  • 2 slices bread
  • 2 slices cheese
  • Drizzle mayonnaise
  • Drizzle sriracha sauce (optional)
  • 85g packet mi goreng, prepared to packet instructions
  • 1 egg

Let's make it:

Step 1:

Turn on the Sunbeam Café Style 2-Slice Sandwich Press & Maker. Butter the bread and place on the grill, butter side down. Top the bread with a cheese slice, close & lock the grill so it is hovering just above the cheese. Grill until cheese melts, 3 minutes.

Step 2:

Remove toast to a plate and drizzle with mayo and sriracha (if using). Add the extra butter to the grill. Add the mi goreng noodles to the grill, form into a square using two forks, same size as the toast. Use two forks to make a hole in the centre of the noodles and crack in the egg.

Step 3:

Close and lock the grill so it is hovering just above the egg. Cook until the egg is done to your liking (3 minutes for a runny yolk, 4 minutes for a hard yolk).

Step 4:

Using a spatula, transfer the fried egg mi goreng to one slice of toast. Top with the second piece of toast, slice and enjoy.
