Barbecue Chilli Lime Prawns
Prawns on the barbie are a great Australian tradition!
Preparation Time: 30 min
Cooking Time: 5 min
Serves: 4 as a starter
Ingredients:
1 kg green prawns, peeled and devein prawns leaving tails
intact
Aioli & crusty bread to serve
Chilli lime marinade
1 teaspoon grated palm sugar
2 tablespoons peanut oil
¼ cup fresh lime juice
2 red chillies, seeded and finely chopped
1 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce
2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander
Method:
1. To make the marinade, combine all ingredients in a ceramic
bowl. Add prawns and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 1
hour.
2. Preheat barbecue flat plate on high. Add prawns and marinade to
flat plate. Barbecue for 2-3 minutes on each side or until prawns
turn pink and are just cooked through.
